Other Sources of Help During COVID-19

Suffolk COVID-19 HOME, BUT NOT ALONE, Helpline 0800 867 6926

Suffolk County Council has set up a dedicated Coroanavirus COVID-19 Helpline as part of the new Home But Not Alone’ initiative – the helpline is for anyone in genuine need during the COVID-19 crisis lockdown. If you need to get food, medicines, or just have a chat with someone to alleviate the loneliness, for example if you have to self-isolate and you live alone, please use the helpline.

The helpine will be staffed from 9am to 5pm, seven days a week.

The Home, But Not Alone service was created by partners from Suffolk’s councils, police, health bodies and charitable organisations which come together as the Collaborative Communities Board. It  has been launched to help connect people who want to volunteer in their communities with neighbours who are most in need. Coming Together Waveney is, naturally, part of this initiative.

The service will mean willing volunteers, charities, town and parish councils, community and religious groups all log their details and offers of support on an app, while people who need help can phone to request support.
